Marriage Seminar – 12th Annual Pre-Nuptial Marriage was held on Saturday, April 25 in the big hall. The seminar is mandatory for all couples who are scheduled to be married at the Cathedral or by our Cathedral clergy in other churches. Fifteen couples were in attendance. The program began with registration with Dn. Damjan and orientation given by Fr. Darko that covered all practical aspects and a review qualifications for marriage in our Cathedral, while Fr. Radovan instructed the new couple on how to become active stewards of their church. Guest speaker was Dr. Helen Theodoropoulos who gave a very impressive presentation entitled: "Marriage as a Path to Salvation." She emphasised that the marriage is a formative experience, and that we must learn to let go of ourselves in order to be able to share with others. Couples completed a short survey (prepared by Fr. Djuro) on how well they know each other which was followed by couples discussing their answers with each other. After a lunch a group picture was taken in front of the Cathedral with clergy. The last item on the program was a presentation given by Fr. Darko, which simulates a walk-through the wedding service in church which included the meaning of the orthodox wedding services according to Serbian Tradition. Also included was the components of the wedding service: Exchange of rings, crowning, the common cup, the procession etc.,
